Mould and Core Coatings

Mould & Core Refractory Coatings are used in the foundry to provide smooth surfaces on steel and iron castings. They act as a barrier between molten metal and sand surface to prevent the metal substrate reaction and impart excellent surface finish of castings free from surface defects like sand fusion, blow hole, veining etc. We are selling this product under trade name Metacote™.

Availability

Metacote™ mould and core coatings are available in powder, paste and ready-to-use forms for different application processes such as dipping, brushing, swabbing, spraying and flooding. Zircon, magnesite, graphite, Aluminium silicate & mix refractory are the main refractory fillers being used to manufacture coatings for different grades of castings. Metacote coatings are available with Water and/or Alcohol/Solvent as a carrier. Coatings are packed in polythene lined bags, HDPE buckets and tin buckets.

Alcohol/Solvent based coatings

Available in ready-to-use, paste, and powder form in various bases and compositions like Zircon, Magnesite, Aluminium Silicate, Graphite, and Mix Refractory suitable for different grades of steels.
